This ad is effective because it shows that all other beers are bad. I would give this ad a 4 out of 10 because it is not true. The 2 best beers are Granville Island larger and Granville Island lion’s ale. The target audience for this ad is beer drinkers. The obvious message of this ad is Heineken is the only option when it comes to drinking beer. The hidden message of this ad is that all other beers are bad. This ad would be most effective in men’s magazines. The advertiser did take advantage of current events because a lot of people drink beer.

This ad is somewhat effective because it shows that you have to have a gun to protect yourself. I would give this ad a 0.1 out of 10 because I think that the NRA are a bunch of psycho republicans. The target audience for this ad is crazy republicans. The obvious message of this add is you need a gun. The hidden message of this ad is guns don’t kill people. People kill people. This add would be most effective in hunting, gun and republican magazines. The advertiser did take advantage of current events because Obama is anti NRA so they have to advertise. .

This ad is not effective because a guy frying an egg wouldn’t make people stop doing drugs. I would give this ad a 6 out of 10 because it is funny. They thought this ad would make people not do drugs. The target audience for this ad is people that are thinking about trying drugs. The obvious message of this add is drugs fry your brain like an egg. The hidden message of this ad is not to do drugs. This ad would be most effective in magazines for teens. The advertiser didn’t take advantage of current events because a lot of people think about doing drugs.

This ad is very effective because it shows that if you buy Axe deodorant you’ll have all the women after you. It makes me want to buy 10000 sticks. I would rate this ad with a 10 out of 10 because it has a lot of sexy women. The target audience is 13 to 35 year-old males. The obvious message of this ad is if you use axe deodorant you’ll have women running to you. The hidden message of this ad is that if you use Axe deodorant you’ll end up with nice women. This ad would be most effective on TSN, ESPN and CBC during Hockey Night In Canada. The advertiser didn’t take advantage of current events because sexy women never go out of style.

I like this picture because it shows that even one of the smartest men in Canada gets hungover. Smartness doesn’t guarantee that Rob Ford won’t make bad decisions. I feel sorry for him because he looks like he has some serious problems. However I still love him.

How has Blackfish changed the way you view places like
SeaWorld? It doesn’t change my view about SeaWorld
because I have been to SeaWorld and I think it is cruel to
the orca’s and dolphins to put on a show so that they can
make money. they named them all one name – Shamoa.

What do you think should be done to help orca’s and
dolphins. I think that the people who own Seaworld should
be in jail for cruelty to animals. I think that the orcas and
dolphins should be free.

It’s bad Beyonce is the spokesperson for Pepsi.  It’s a bad influence for kids. Kids listen to her music. People think if Beyonce likes Pepsi it’s good and they will buy it. It will get kids fat. Beyonce is only in it for the money. She doesn’t care if kids will get fat. When people see her face they will say “Hay, it’s Beyonce, I will buy a can of Pepsi.”

 

Lord of the Flies and The Vancouver Riots

In the novel, lord of the Flies and at the Vancouver riots, large groups of people were impacted by a ‘mob mentality’.

There are many similarities between the novel The Lord of the Flies and the Stanley Cup Riot. Firstly, both of the events were because of bad leadership. The mayor of Vancouver, Gregor Robinson was no Rob Ford. Robinson was a crap leader like Jack. Both events had a drum beating that pumped everybody up. In The Lord of the Flies there was a lot of violence. This also happened in The Vancouver Riots. In both situations the rules were broken.
